It feels quite fitting that the Pantone colour of the year has started to filter through to home interiors just as the first small signs of spring can be seen in nature.
For 2017, the Pantone professionals have deemed 'Greenery' the must-have colour - a fresh, vibrant shade that is said to rejuvenate, revitalise and refresh.
Green is a brilliant colour to use in the home as it feels lively and organic at the same time. Introducing colour into your property - whether you are looking to sell or are decorating a property you have recently purchased - goes a long way in making an impact, and it's something we have noticed as North West London estate agents.
We handle the sale and let of hundreds of properties in the Camden borough, and see our homes listed up against thousands of others on search sites such as Rightmove and Zoopla. We find that property photos with a dash of colour really stand out on screen, drawing the eye and the attention of would-be purchasers.
If you're thinking of selling your property, why not inject a pop of colour into your rooms before your marketing photographs are taken? Shades of green work really well when introduced as highlights - think cushions, window blinds, rugs and vases - all accessories that can be cheap to buy and taken away with you when you move.
"This shade of green is different from what we've ever done as color of the year before," says Eiseman. "We love that feeling of newness, of realigning yourself and revitalizing yourself. A really important aspect is that the color has vibrancy and a little bit of brightness."
