Many of us would dread the idea of going back to school but a brand new educational facility has opened in North West London, guaranteed to get residents back in the learning frame of mind.

Ex-marketing executive Heidi Cullip has swapped the boardroom for Bordeaux in order to set up her very own wine school, which meets on a regular basis at Camden Town's Irish Centre on Camden Square.

The school will offer fun, informal tasting sessions and courses designed to take the snobbery out of wine. Pupils can choose from evening tastings or Saturday-only 'lessons', through to more comprehensive four or eight week courses.

The next events at the North London Wine School include Christmas wine tasting on Thursday 1st December and an eight-week introduction to the 'world of wine' course running from Wednesday 25th January. Places are limited so it's advisable to book as soon as possible.

There's also a Christmas gift voucher option if you're looking for a unique gift this festive season. Visit the North London Wine School website for full details.
