Camden is one of the best places in the world for street art and we had to share this amazing new mural with you. The work on Hartland Road has been created by Dan Kitchener, who is an award-winning street artist, illustrator and animator.
Local residents were left wondering what would fill the gap after the existing artwork was completely painted over black. In fact, the existing mural (Liquid Nights) was created by Dan himself a few years back and after some ageing and wear, he was back to create a new, refreshed artwork in his very distinctive style.
Dan worked with The Real Art of Street Art for this latest project - an organisation that supports street artists and finds them legal walls in Camden that they can use as a canvass.
Like many of the street artists active in Camden, Dan has an illustrious career history, having worked for customers and corporate clients including Sir Paul McCartney, Kylie, Calvin Harris, Il Divo, Carlsberg, MTV, ITV and Ministry Of Sound, to name but a few.
When you're next in Camden, be sure to swing by Hartland Road and see the piece in all its technicolour glory.
"I love the details, and the people in my new mural in Camden are for me, my favourite part. I love the umbrella and the translucent material, taught and reflective, captures the mood unwanted to convey"
